APASU and MCC present the APASU Speaker Series!
APASU is thrilled to announce that our 2026 Speaker Series will take place on Friday, April 24th, in the EMU Ballroom, featuring none other than grentperez (@grentperez).
Join us THIS Friday for a night of live music 
, a captivating voice, and a chance to meet grentperez one-on-one.
Doors open at 5:30 PM and the show begins at 6 PM! Along with the performance, the evening will include a special Q&A where he’ll share more about his journey and experiences as an Asian artist 
. There will also be free bundt cakes for attendees, catered by Nothing Bundt Cakes 
At just 23 years old, Australian singer/songwriter grentperez has carved out his own lane in pop music, charming audiences worldwide with sweet, love-filled songs that balance dreamy sincerity with lighthearted fun

Since breaking out with his gold-certified debut single “Cherry Wine” (which hit No. 1 on Spotify’s Viral 50 in multiple countries), the Sydney-born artist has toured globally 
supporting acts like Rex Orange County, Wallows, Laufey, and Cavetown—while also selling out his own headline shows.
Fresh off winning Emerging Songwriter of the Year at the 2024 APRA Awards 
, he’s released his debut album Backflips in a Restaurant, blending R&B, indie-folk, pop-punk, symphonic pop, and ‘70s soft rock into his most original work yet
